Ethiopia Reprise: Adadi Mariam Church

On March 1, on the way from Melka Kunture to the Adadi Mariam church, we came across some cows threshing teff under the urging of a farmer.

We also drove through a local marketplace.

After paying admission of around US$4, I got to check out the Adadi Mariam rock-hewn church, which is apparently similar to some of the churches at Lallibella which I didn’t have the opportunity to see.

  1. Really, I have interested with the tour you made in Adadi st. Mariam church which is located in south western parts of oromia region.I have visited this historical place before one year & it is really amazing. You can get many interesting historical places on your way to Adadi Mariam right from Addis Abeba including melka kunture and beautiful landscapes of gaja dera. Above all, Adadi Mariam church is special in terms of site attractiveness & historical identity of these society. We really are proud of those kings who build this church in that time.
